ELABORATION
Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva is made in stainless steel tanks for 21-30 days, with just the right amount of maceration to achieve a balance between fruit and extract. The wine has been aged in American and French oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months, followed by a minimum of 36 months of refinement in the bottle.
TASTING NOTES
With a bright ruby colour and brick-red tones, this gran reserva wine is mature and elegant. Its aromatic richness is changing and subtle, revealing itself as the wine breathes. You will appreciate toasted and coconut notes followed by tertiary aromas (such as leather or damp earth), red fruit and nuts. Round, well-integrated tannins are also noticeable, with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
PAIRING
This Tempranillo red wine is ideal for pairing with roast suckling lamb, game or red meat. It should be served at a temperature of between 16 and 18 ºC (60.8-64.4ºF).
